Confused about which drugstore hand cream to buy? Unsure about which hand moisturizer will actually work for you? Then this post is for you! Keep reading to see my top drugstore hand cream picks!
One thing I noticed when I started getting into the whole makeup thing is that along with makeup, for a lot of people, goes skincare. And I was a bit confused. I mean, makeup is fun. And colorful. And exciting. And all the other adjectives I’m too lazy to think of right now. And skincare is, well, skincare. How exciting can it really be to wash your face?
I soon realized that you have to care about skincare when you are into makeup, because putting all that gunk on your face (I mean that in the most loving way possible) can be really bad for your skin. So I started looking into face washes, and exfoliators, and moisturizers, and all that fun stuff. Not fun as in makeup, but fun as in “all that fun stuff.” It’s a figure of speech, ok?
(more…)Drugstore mascara is very popular nowadays, and for good reason. It is extremely affordable, and performs as well as, if not better, the higher end counterparts. One of the most popular, and cheapest, drugstore mascaras is essence Lash Princess. Is it as good as everyone makes it out to be? Or should you spend a few dollars more and get something better?

Oh, the KathleenLights x Colourpop Dream St palette. I don’t even know what to say about it at this point.
Kidding. I do know what to say about it. I have lots to say about it. What I meant is my opinion changed so drastically on it that I just don’t know what to say.
Is that an expression other people use? Or just me?
I’ve been meaning to write a review of the BH Cosmetics X Carli Bybel palette for awhile now. I just never got around to it.
The palette sits there in my makeup drawer, staring at me accusingly. Why? It is asking. Why can’t you write about me? Don’t you love me?
Well, yes. I do love you, actually.
I’m just really lazy.
(See above.)
(I’m not going to embed that same gif again. That’s just ridiculous.)
(I mean, this whole blog is ridiculous. Just… don’t tell anyone, ok? And we’ll pretend this is a staid, serious blog. About personal finance or something. Yeah, that’s right. This is a personal finance blog dedicated to helping people get money so they can buy makeup.)
Liquid foundation is one of those things that is really scary for a makeup newbie. It seems like something professional makeup artists use, not something a regular person should be using on a daily basis.
Or am I the only one who felt that way? I can’t be, right? I’m not the only one who was terrified of foundation?
(don’t tell me if I’m wrong and everyone is cool with liquid foundation. Allow me to enjoy my delusions that the world shares my incompetence, ok?)
So I was watching a Tati video one day on YouTube and she mentioned something along the lines of, “and if you don’t want to kill your lashes with waterproof mascara every day, try a tubing mascara.” (I am definitely misquoting her here. It was something along those lines, but I don’t remember exactly. Please don’t shoot me.) And I immediately thought, what is tubing mascara? Sounds like something I should check out.
